MARY MARCH HEARING SET FOR OCTOBER 25 -- 26, 2010

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire -- July 21, 2010) The directors of Canstar Resources Inc. (TSX.V: ROX) have been advised by their legal counsel, Mr. Jim Thistle, that the Mary March hearing, scheduled for July 19th, has been postponed until October 25th and 26th.

The reason for the postponement is due to the fact that legal counsel for Vinland Resources wanted extra time set aside for the hearing. Legal counsel for the other parties had wanted no more than two days, which was not available at an earlier date because of scheduling conflicts with the courts.

We are obviously very disappointed with this further delay. However we continue to be optimistic that the courts will resolve this dispute in Canstar's favour and we can resume exploration on the property.

The directors wish to thank shareholders for their support and patience through this long standing dispute

On behalf of the Board of Directors

Chairman's Message

 To Our Shareholders,

The directors of Canstar Resources Inc. have been advised by legal counsel that a hearing on the Mary March property dispute has been scheduled for July 19th.

The purpose of this hearing, to be held before a judge, is to review the appeal by Vinland, and determine whether a rehearing of Vinland's appeal is necessary, and the scope, timing and length of such a rehearing.

The directors view this as merely more delaying tactics on the part of Vinland. We are hopeful that this hearing will result in a rejection of Vinland's appeal.

Once again we appreciate the support of our loyal shareholders and we wish to give them assurance that we are very determined to continue to do whatever we can to bring about the return of the Mary March property title to Canstar.

Canstar maintains plans to resume comprehensive exploration over the property as soon as title has been restored.

Sincerely,

Harry J. Hodge, P.Eng.

Chairman's Message

 Dear Shareholders,

We would like to update you with the latest developments on the Mary March property title dispute.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Supreme Court Registrar's Office has confirmed that as of today's date, June 16, 2010, the lawyer for the Mineral Claims Recorder for the Government of Newfoundland has still inexplicably failed to file a factum and the corresponding application for a court hearing with respect to Vinland's appeal to the decision of the Mineral Rights Adjudication Board, which rejected Vinland's claim to the Mary March property.

This has resulted in further unnecessary delays in resolving this dispute which is now in its tenth year.

We have been very proactive in attempting to urge the Ministry Of Natural Resources to resolve this long standing dispute as expeditiously as possible either by passing legislation or by advancing appropriate court action. We are also, in concert with shareholders attempting, through the local media, to raise the level of awareness to the local public of this interminable dispute.

We have recently held a productive meeting with the mayor and town council of the town of Buchans. They are, of course, promoting new mining developments in the area which has very high unemployment since the closure of the Buchans Mine.

We are optimistic that these measures will encourage the government to realize the importance of bringing closure to this dispute to the mining industry of Newfoundland and Labrador.

We greatly appreciate the support of shareholders in these efforts.

Thank you,

Harry J. Hodge,P.Eng.

Chairman's Message

 To Our Shareholders,

Following is an update on the Mary March property dispute.

We have recently learned from the Newfoundland And Labrador Supreme Court Registrar that the Ministry of Natural Resources has not to date filed an application as required for a hearing on the Vinland Appeal of the Mineral Rights Adjudication Board's rejection of it's claim to the Mary March property. This has resulted in further delay in resolving this dispute which is now in it's eighth year.

Your directors have continued to be very proactive in communicating our concern to the government. In addition, we have endeavoured, by communicating with local media, to raise the level of awareness of this dispute and the negative effects it is having on the potential economic benefits to Central Newfoundland, and on Canstar and it's shareholders. In this regard we greatly appreciate the help and efforts of individual shareholders who have also been very vocal in letting their concerns be known.

Needless to say, this delay further negatively impacts on Canstar's comprehendive plans to explore and develop the highly prospective Mary March base and precious metal property.

However, given that Vinland's claim has been rejected in the courts, we believe that the government has little choice but to return property title to Canstar. This dispute can be terminated relatively quickly by the courts rejecting Vinland's appeal, or, by the government bringing in new legislation. It is strictly in the hands of the government.

Once again we would like to acknowledge the support and patience of investors.

Sincerely,

Harry J.Hodge, P.Eng.

Chairman's Message

 To Our Shareholders,

We would like to provide the following update on the Mary March property dispute.

Pursuant to Vinland's appeal Factum to the Adjudication Board's rejection of Vinland's claim to the Mary March property, Factums have been filed by legal counsels for the Government, Canstar, and Xstrata (Noranda). We are currently awaiting a decision by the courts, or the government, as to the next step in the process. As of this date we have not received any information as to the nature or timing of the decision.

In the meantime we have been very proactive in attempting to either;
1) Get the courts to reject Vinland's appeal outright; or,
2) Persuade the government to expeditiously legislate an amendment to The Mining Act to end the dispute.

In that regard we appreciate the input and and help of shareholders who are supporting this initiative by independently contacting people in the government as well as the media in Newfoundland and Labrador.

We believe that the onus is now squarely on the government to end this long standing dispute. The only reasonable decision is to return legal title of this property to Canstar.

We would like to thank shareholders for their long standing patience and support.

Sincerely,

Harry J. Hodge. P.Eng.
Chairman
