|
| | To Our Shareholders,
We would like to provide the following update on the Mary March property dispute.
Pursuant to Vinland's appeal Factum to the Adjudication Board's rejection of Vinland's claim to the Mary March property, Factums have been filed by legal counsels for the Government, Canstar, and Xstrata (Noranda).We are currently awaiting a decision by the courts, or the government, as to the next step in the process. As of this date we have not received any information as to the nature or timing of the decision.
In the meantime we have been very proactive in attempting to either;
1) Get the courts to reject Vinland's appeal outright; or,
2) Persuade the government to expeditiously legislate an amendment to The Mining Act to end the dispute.
In that regard we appreciate the input and and help of shareholders who are supporting this initiative by independently contacting people in the government as well as the media in Newfoundland and Labrador.
We believe that the onus is now squarely on the government to end this long standing dispute. The only reasonable decision is to return legal title of this property to Canstar.
We would like to thank shareholders for their long standing patience and support.
Sincerely,
Harry J. Hodge. P.Eng.
